The Kyneton
The Kyneton collection is where Durham J White's practice is most deeply rooted — drawn from the historic streetscapes of Piper Street, the surrounding natural landscape, and the expansive cloudscapes that define this part of central Victoria.
The works range from the quietly observational to the boldly adventurous — some grounding the viewer in a sense of place, others dissolving into something altogether more dreamlike and atmospheric. Reflections, layered perspectives, and shifting light recur throughout, creating compositions that feel at once familiar and transportive. Some pieces will remind you of Kyneton; others may take you somewhere else entirely.
As the home of the Colours of White gallery, Kyneton holds a particular significance in Durham's work — and this collection continues to grow as the landscape reveals itself in new ways.
New works are added as the series evolves.
