The Bendigo
The Bendigo collection is rooted in the heart of the city — drawn from the historic architecture of View Street, the grandeur of Pall Mall, the Post Office, and the sweeping gardens that define Bendigo's civic character.
These works are among Durham's more adventurous explorations — ranging from antique-like sepia tones and contemplative monotones through to earthy greens and browns, rich autumnal reds, and vivid, majestic pinks. The palette shifts dramatically across the series, yet each piece remains anchored in the layered detail and tonal depth that characterise Durham's practice.
Currently concentrated in the central heart of Bendigo, the collection will continue to grow as Durham reveals new perspectives of the city through his lens.
