"Deep Meditative Therapy" is one of Durham's most commanding works — a piece that operates at the intersection of spirituality, colour, and psychological depth.
The composition moves through layers of rich hot pink, deep blue, red, and burnt orange, each tone carrying its own weight before dissolving into the next. Multiple horizons emerge within the layering — echoes of the Australian landscape held within an almost ceremonial stillness. There is an eastern sensibility to the work that doesn't announce itself but reveals itself slowly, the longer you remain with it.
The palette is bold without aggression — vibrant in direct light, deeply immersive as the room quietens. It holds its presence in a considered interior without competing with it, drawing the eye inward rather than outward.
